Austrians halt EK expansion

Word is the double daily has hit a glitch, with LH owned Austrian having applied sufficient pressure on authorities to deny due 'technical' reasons.

A sign of things to come perhaps.

This is the translation by google:

"We are pleased to confirm that our additional six flights per week, as planned from Sunday 27 March 2011 can be carried out, "said Martin Gross, the manager of Emirates in Austria. Emirates have received all necessary consents. "We are grateful to the Austrian authorities, our partners and the Government of the United Arab Emirates for their support in resolving this matter," Gross said. Meanwhile, the Dubai based airline had to increase the connection to be fearful, because the "Supreme Civil Aviation Authority" in Austria had refused the permit.
