Hi Sheik
This the stupidest post I have ever read. I don't know of any major airline based at north pole.

It's called irony, but then someone who refuses to see anything from any other point of view than his own is unlikely to understand that concept. Where does it mention the North Pole?
I've read your posts for a while, and whilst I have a profound dislike of Dubai for many reasons, mainly the double standards which prevail, I neither live nor work there but have spent short periods of time there for various reasons.
I find your rantings pointless and derogatory to people who have chosen to live and work there, and indicative of an obsessive personality. The thought that you might be in the cockpit of an aircraft that I might one day fly on worries me somewhat, although as I'm unlikely to go to Dubai again I suppose the chance is slim.

Hahahaha! I thought this is funny, it's exactly what people sound like when they first arrive & then as reality sinks in....
Back home I used to fly in a/c without APU in temps around what we get in Dubai. We all used to bitch and moan about how crap summer is, how disgusting we felt and how bad our uniforms looked after walking between the aircraft and the terminal building (northwest WA in summer, anyone??)
Then autumn would come & we'd love the cooler change, saying how great it was to not have to wring out our clothes coming into the cabin, laying out on the tiny patch of grass behind the terminal building between flights, getting a tan to see us through winter, waiting for the cooler days...
Few weeks later.... inevitable whingeing starts about how cold it
is getting, uniform coat not long enough, legs cold, etc etc etc... a few more weeks... rain, rain, cold, rain, getting soaked to the bone running to the plane every morning at 4am, aircraft freezing with no APU or GPU, breath frosting up in the air and running the ovens to warm up the cabin a bit....
I have no idea how we'd have gone somewhere there is actually SNOW but from talking to my Canadian & European friends I think I'll take hot over cold anyday.... cold seems to be so much more depressing than hot. At least in the hot you can go swim at the beach to cool off... not much you can do in -20!!!! And I had to laugh at the getting undressed to pee part. Trust me, you guys have it way easier in that department, although I suppose frostbite might be a bit of a worry!!!

Still, we won't let that stop the bitching and moaning that is the whole raison d'etre for the ME forum, though.
