UK FCO Warning to Qatar Ex Pats
Please be advised that FCO travel advice for Qatar has been amended today to say:
‘We advise British Nationals in Qatar to maintain a high level of security awareness
particularly in public places. You should avoid large gatherings and
demonstrations. We are aware of reports of a possible protest on Tuesday 15 March
2011 or Wednesday 16 March 2011’.

Anyone who desires to start trouble in some of the more wealthy middle east countries had better have a close look at Libya, just now,
Pro-government forces clearly have the upper hand, and the 'rebels' are in a state of total disarray.
Having said this, Libya is, more than any other north African country, very tribal, and problems along these lines long preceeded Col Gadaffi.
