Gryphon Airlines
There is a charter operator by this name based in Kuwait. I have heard they are opening a hub in RAK soon. Any info about this airline would be appreciated like T&Cs, rosters, how is it to work for? how do they treat their crews?
Thanks
Thanks
Well, nothing on their website at all - and given the type of work that they're into, I wouldn't think it likely that RAK would be a good fit for them. Not that I'm an authority, however.

Currently they are looking for crew, min reqs for Capt, 3000 PIC with 300 on MD80 series. For F/O, 1500 Total with 300 on MD80 series. Unfortunately you need South African validation as the aircraft operate on SACAA AOC and are SACAA registered. Salary is good considering company pays a basic, s&t, sector pay, accommodation, transport, life insurance, medical insurance as well as for all training. W.r.t. roster, you'll fly 3 sectors 3-4 times a week. Hpoe this helps.

They now have an application link on their website for crew. Check Careers or Gryphon Airlines (Kuwait) - PILOT CAREER CENTRE)

Swiftair from spain are doing an AMCI for them until they receive their own a/c. They are also have a dry lease with a SA company for MD80's. That's one of the reason for the SACAA validation.

As it stands now, the company have two bases, one in Kuwait and one in Dubai. They were in RAK for less than a month due to logistic reasons in Dubai.
