Expats in Dubai
A friend of mine would like information on living in Dubai. Can anyone give information about quality of life in all facets for an American living in Dubai including getting about, security, home life, education (college for wife?), etc.

Just double the cost of most items and lose your common sense and you will get a idea of how Dubai operates.

Discrimination towards Americans looms large over here...but its not from the locals.
It will come as a bit of a surprise to the Yanks that the source is two nationalities that occupy huge land masses...one is very close to you, the other is a long way away at the bottom of the world.
