Its the world's best kept secret, no one in Europe is aware of the huge achievement of EY, no mention on the BBC or CNN or Al Jaziera for that matter. That is one hell of a PR department Hogie has!. Still well done boys and girls great to work for an airline with such deep pockets and short hands, Hope a huge Bonus follows.......

Would love to see the audited voting results for the World Travel Awards.

The whole thing is a massive con IMHO ... but you offer "awards" to airline and travel companies and they're always going to accept them and wave them around even if valueless.

"As a senior management chap said recently, we are our own worst enemy...
"
Couldn't agree more, we should stop wasting energy bitching about what that manager did and this other manager is doing and start looking at what we do as individuals that hurts us greatly than anything any management will ever throw at you.
Once we take care of that..... Maybe we'll see some light at the end of this very long and dark tunnel.

my lucid moment for the day !!!

Safe Flying

We could start our own thread "This week In Etihad", and let the truth be known. (As compared to their propaganda "This week in Etihad")

This past week, A320 DEC's are allowed in.
This week non type rated B737, B767 friends of management are allowed in.
This week you are no longer allowed to live in Dubai.
This week you are going to pay in the difference of your housing or get booted.
This week only flight/cabin crew are allowed on cabin jumpseats.
This week cabin have had their tickets cut from 10 to 5.
This week Cabin Crew have had their housing chopped by DHM500 per month
This week the A332F freighter has been introduced with no pay deadheading in economy.

Let the list continue!

AustralianCon, I think what Z3 was trying to say is that, by working days off, accepting flights when we shouldn't, going into extension in AUH, and so on, we are hurting ourselves.

Ouch!!! That jumpseat ban is going to hurt, as an expat it's a great fallback having a jumpseat available if the flight's full, as they almost always are. Who generates these guarantied to pi$$ us off policies, is it the inflight department? Where are our bosses when these things happen. I suppose we have so many pilots that the need to recruit is not necessary and they can chop and change policies and benefits at will without caring about morale.

The APU, airconditioning and packs off policies are also detrimental to occupant comfort.

Yea, I know, really I didn't expect cabin crew to be making policy decisions that hurt the pilot body.
