The latest rumour going around is a bonus!
This is to do with EK celebrating their 25th anniversary and giving crew some financial rewards.
This is meant to be the "reason" for giving such a small profit share.

Don't shoot me down guys! Just whats' going around the crew at moment.

Look it's just a typical rumor that you hear hear around the training college and on line. I don't know how much validity there is but I have heard it on several occasions.

didn't want to start a rumor that EK is bankrupt but you never know what happens in the future.
