Spag, learn something...that phrase is common in law. It is used to explain events beyond "man's" control. And yes "man" is used in a generic sense. But you knew that, right? Just having fun with us, I hope. Intelligence levels are getting scary around here, and I am certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer. It reminds me of the old joke...did you hear about the (insert whomever, pilot/cabin crew/engineer/lawyer/doctor, etc) that was so dumb the other (insert) actually noticed.

Yes TU I was having a little fun. That phrase is written in just about every insurance policy I have ever had. I guess its shorter than writing the truth ie Act of magma flowing through a hole in the earth's crust. In the case of the Icelandic volcano with a name I can't spell, I believe it sits on the Mid Atlantic Ridge , thus the presence of a fissure. But this is not a fact forum so I will move on.
