Over 900hrs at Emirates

Just been told EK pilots flying over 900hrs because of factoring?

I have to admit to never being over 900 hours in my time at EK, but then again that is based upon the fact that the following is not accounted for in our flight time limitations;

-simulator training........ no
-ground school.......... no
-SEP training....... no
-50 minutes signing in at work before actually being credited......... no
-one hour after chocks-on...... no (zero minutes after chocks on in you can believe that!)
-Pelesys training on your computer at home.......... no
-FRMS computer filings......... no
-factored flying...... no

Take into account the 'above' items plus the fact Emirates Airlins has the most ridiculous rostering of any respectable airline in the world and it shold be readily obvious that things are NOT RIGHT HERE!!!!

My best buddy, who used to argue with me weekly about the management of this airline, has now advised me that he has had enough of this ****E and he is leaving in 5 months time. Blew my mind away when he told me this, as he was defiinitely at the head of the line for Emirates Kool-Aid.

It is difficult to explain how this company screws with its flight crew because a normal human being would think it impossible, the way they abuse us. If you disagree with me, then feel free to come here and enjoy this wonderful place, ha ha ha! Feel free to come to my 'open bar' departure party.

If all those who claim to be imminently departing actually left then there probably would be a squeeze on flighdeck crew. (And fewer moans on this forum). However currently there is no particular concern. The rate of resignations is within acceptable limits. Most are leaving for personal reasons rather than unhappiness with conditions. Exit interviews establish and confirm this.

New recruits and cadets coming on line should give all some roster relief over the next months.

Most airlines do not give credit for the list of duties previously presented in this thread. Emirates is following the industry norms.

900 hours is not an industry barrier. Currently there are other airlines flying to 1000 hours with the approval of their civil aviation regulators. I am surprised this has not been pointed out before.

Anyway, industry norms? A bit sweeping, perhaps you can let me know who and where does the same rosters/routes/ factored hours as EK so we can compare like with like.

EVERYONE leaves due to personal reasons. I am leaving because the company stinks is a personal reason...

Cadets and new recruits will not provide any respite if it is the intention to fly us all to 900 or the 1000 you seem to think is 'normal'. Easy to hide behind your desk and pontificate about it than actually do the flying you think is acceptable You should try it one day, it's blo*dy dangerous.

Yes they do, but in very specific cases is that approval granted and not when there is MFF and all the wondrous FTL variation fiddles

The first thing most clever pilots learn is don't slam the door behind you. I assume emirates hire mostly clever pilots.

Plus when you leave it's because you have enough. You just want to get this exit interview behind you. Like my good friend asked them on his exit interview: " why are you asking me these questions... I am leaving...ask the guys on line, the ones still working for you" So he just played the game

And the HR manager just filled the little papers, ticked the little boxes concluded my friend left for personal reasons... amazing

What would be interesting, and no less revealing, is if somebody was to be able to enter a typical Emirates pilots schedule into any international flight crews scheduling system and check its legality of said carrier. For example how many illegalities would British Airways or United Airlines scheduling software find in a typical Emirates Airlines pilots schedule?
