Might be a bit late now, hiring Pilots who are type rated on B737's, gearing up with Engineering support etc etc.

Here we go....

"Meanwhile, FlyDubai also announced at the show yesterday a $22 million contract with Goodrich covering wheels and brakes for its future A320 fleet. The contract, which also includes aftermarket support, does not cover six A320s that will be in FlyDubai's fleet at year-end. The first A320 to be covered by the Goodrich deal will be aircraft number seven, to be delivered next March"

pfuhahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

No, no. I know from an absolutely reliable source that FlyDubai has negotiated with Lockheed to restart the L1649 Constellation Starliner production line. They will order a thousand of those.

Not true....

However, I have been informed that all airlines based in Dubai will soon be the property of Abu Dhabi.

Utter Rubbish

Poor reporting and retrashing of an old press release (see below, dated 16th November).

flydubai Aircraft to get Carbon Brakes from Goodrich
Goodrich Corporation's (NYSE: GR) Aircraft Wheels and Brakes business has been selected by flydubai to supply wheels and carbon brakes for its new fleet of 54 Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft. The selection is expected to generate up to $22 million in revenue over the life of the contract, including aftermarket support. Aircraft deliveries with the Goodrich wheel and brake equipment are expected to begin in March 2010 and continue through 2013.
