Hatchet Majali Strikes
:suspect
Just heard that Chris Cain is leaving us at the end of the month Nov 2009.
Whilest like Majali he came here with a respectful cv and saved Naff Naff from a public lynching at a Pilot meeting he has been invisible in all other respects and has had zero impact on the line. I guess he can start using up his Swiss Air pension on the slopes of St. Moritz now.

Nothing or very little to do with Majali.
This was on the card for many months and the decision maker was Mumtalakat , rather than GF CEO.
To be fair , the man had very little impact. Very nice person, but both his position as COO and his personal productivity was true waste of money in a bleeding and struggling airline.

i know what? bring back people like hameed ali. that should do the airline a heap of good!!
only management and office expats will be on the firing line. they can not do without the expat pilots for a long time to go.

Why only Expat management ?
Since GF is bleeding so much , there shouldn't be any bias towards nationalities. Many local managers (particularly the senior managements) are dead weight in the company. Their payslip does not reflect their productivity. Quite a few have reached some heights that they would only dream of and they are holding tight. The good ones will alwyas find a job somewhere else, some of the local managers in GF are simply not up to scratch and need to go.
Let us be realistic , firing a few expats managers will not save the airline.
