AFD,
The A343 (A6-EYC) we got rid of was only taken as a temporary solution till we take delivery of more A345's and A346's. Etihad Airways does not and will not operate A343's we only have A345's and A346's. If you ask any of us we couldn't see the back of the A343 fast enough. Sorry but a real dog.
Cheers

Hi JetFO,
The A343 was a problem from day one in EY, it was an ex-SIA aircraft which was in really bad nick and all it did is burn a lot of fuel and create a ton of problems. Range was absolutely useless, and all said and done it was a serious liability.
As far as A320 rosters mate, I'm afraid I can't help you there, as my handle suggests I'm not on the A320 but I understand they do all turnarounds with the exception of one or two destinations with layovers. However having said that we have a CCQ A320 to A330 so you can plan on being rated on both after about a year.
Cheers

320/330 CCQ for F/o's currently two years from DOJ they are only doing 2 per month with loads of direct entries onto the 330 so will probably become longer. 320 roster at the moment only one layover, that may increase with the winter schedule. Once checked to line expect to do mostly night duties back of the clock to India and middle east destinations. Current pattern is one day duty followed by two nights. All the plum routes and day duties are predominantly taken for training. Flight hours vary hugely from 55-85 hours. There is no roster balancing and your one allowed request is granted probably about half the time on average. There is at least now a roster committee and "he" is working hard at improving things and has had some limited success.
