Good move, but are there any takers? 340's are very well known for their fuel consumption talent.

that is true. But,there are airlines all over the world that really need to get some aircraft urgently .As most of the plane orders are blocked by emirates ,etihad.qatar airways etc.

Anyone know if they plan to replace them with anything, such as the 777?

Maybe get rid of the the original GF 340s but the Boeing 340s are actually in OK shape with better cabins than the MEA 330s (except KJ).

I think hes referring to the 3 A343's Boeing leased to GF(after SQ realised they were gas guzlers and went for boeing 777 so boring bought them off SQ to cut the deal) and as usual GF got another airlines leftovers, as it did with MEA's and Jets.

Chaps, come on, slap yourself or ask someone else to ! REPLACE. ? GF is DOWNSIZEING and slimming where they can. Still dreaming about 777 replacement. Gosh !

Oh & Gordo has left the building or it would have been a good package, Gypsy ! He even bought a Yamaha Jazz kit from the desert (about 600 euros cheaper than cyprus) and will be setting up at the Skylight in Dekhelia around Feb time.

Good luck Gentlemen. Watch your backs, the knives were always out but now the KUNJERS are out !!
