Royal Jordanian A320 Overshoots at OEJD
Hi,
I was travelling yesterday night as a passenger on board RJA700, A320 aircraft from OJAC to OEJD and on final approach the pilot had to overshoot at approx1500 feet and applied the missed approach procedures, turned around and landed safely.
Reason given OAL aircraft did not vacate runway 34C at OEJD
Then waited to cross runway for 25 minutes. What a flight

If he went around at 1500' agl, he would have just been inside the final approach fix to the runway. The separation of aircraft (which may be a good thing) used in the Kingdom is far more than I have ever seen in the US or Europe.
I fly into OEJN (I think that's what you meant) almost everyday and can't wait until the Haj as the place will be saturated with no place to park.
And, yes, it's a long taxi from 16L/34R, made even longer now for 16L as 'V' taxiway is closed and requires you to use 'R' or 'S'.
