how many airplanes is EY receiving this year?

in an article dated from 3/19/09 it is said that EY will have 11 aircraft deliveries in 09.I also remember reading an interview featuring the CEO also stating that the airline was supposed to get 11 aircraft.
in a more recent article dated from a couple of days ago, EY is supposed to be getting 5 330 and 2 340-600, bringing the fleet from 42 to 49. no mention of the other 4 aircraft which I believe were supposed to be A320 aircraft.

I am in the hiring pool and 320 rated.

anybody has any info on aircraft deliveries ? thanks

Speadbrake,

Since you seem to be well informed what do you think is going to happen to the 40 or so A320 FO's in the pool? Are we going to be offered a class soon?

speadbrake,

So are you going to offer any more information? Why did you put the "waiting" in quotes? Do you think Etihad will fail to offer class dates to the poolies?

On top of the mentioned 330 / 340's and the 777 there will be 5 more 320's this year. Cadets are coming in, but there will be a good amount of new F/O intakes.

MikeAlphaNovember,

How do you know this information? I hope you are correct about the 5 A320's.

Thats the information, maybe 2 days old. Things change quickly here - but not that quickly. If your sequence number is not > 50, there is a good chance in the near future to see a class date coming up.

in a video interview dated from april 09, the CEO explains the position of the company and that it will keep on with its planned growth.

VIDEO: Etihad CEO, James Hogan

Speedbrake, I m not implying that your info is not valid, but your comment about the credit crunch doesn t go in the same direction as the CEO' s comments.
