Hirings!!!

Hello Guys,

This is my first post at PPRUNE... Pls dont be too harsh on me...

Im a FAA CPL IR and ME holder (with CFI,II,MEI) with 550 Hrs total time (200 ME).. Just finished flight training in USA and heading back home to SL to get my SL CPL, IR & ME and also sit for the Sri Lankan ATPL exams... be back in USA to instruct again once im done with this stuff...Hopefully hired By UL (when ever tht happens) and then i want to move to greener pastures...I have a few questions though...

I know im no where near qualified to fly in M.E or any west asia airlines but how is the hiring for Sri Lankan Nationals at Emirates, FlyDXB,Air Arabia, Etihad etc... I heard from sum 1 long time ago tht EK does not hire any SL nationalities for Flight deck crew positions.. pls let me know if there is anything like tht..

how is life in M.E??? I see lots of bashing going on in here?? (sum of em are funny)

Any others pls post it

Can't speak for the other Airlines, but EK has several Sri Lankan pilots (along with 70 other nationalities!!).

Good luck

With the low hours, it is better to go get a job in some low cost airline and build your hours up. Europe is out of the question cos you got to be EU to actually work there and there is nothing in USA and Australia. So that leaves ME and Asia. Good luck.
