40&80

Thanks very much. I am and I will continue to do so. Those who shamefully mishandled my unexpected exit, unwittingly served me the lifesaver I now enjoy. My heart goes out to those fantastic people who I enjoyed flying with and are now stuck in the dreadful events of recent months. I have made the same error of judgement, twice, in my 40 year career. Once with Air Europe and the second with Gulfair. I really thought that the people I worked for were my friends. The people I worked with, by and large, remain dear friends........................Oh heavens sake, blubbing up !! Time for a Jack & Coke at the Retards Bar where, tonight, I am getting a go on the drums. Look out Ginger Baker !!

Cheers Gordo, glad it worked out for you! You are better off on that end of things, particularly now, trust me.

Milan to be increased to 6 flights a week.
The A320 Capt was demoted for something unrelated.
+20 cabin crew already sacked, the pilots involved still waiting for their marching orders.

I would say that be unemploed men is one of the worst thing that can happen to anyone, I would personally dont deserve this to anyone.

Couldn't agree more. Someone might miss him ! But, he was very well connected (only reason he got where he did in the first place) and I would be surprised if he didn't use these connections again. I think they call it 'Karma' ; what goes around, comes around. Subsequent posts talk about suffering. Few of us would wish it on anyone. NS will not suffer for long. With his grubby little connections, he and types like hime surface somewhere else. What is good is that GF will now benefit greatly from his demise. Lets hope the Management Team replace him withsomeone more worthy & a lot more capable. (Shouldn't be too difficult !).

As far as I know no flight deck crews have been sacked yet but our Acting HR manager(M.T.) along with the Head IT(J.Q.) are or were supposed to be investigating the employees involved. Having said that Mr JQ has already resigned!

Oman Air Asessments
Dear Colleages,

Have Sim Asessment in Southampton at the end of this month.

Anyone with info on previous Profiles / what to expect.

Hand flying and handling skills or LPC type check?

Any info/contacts greatly appreciated.

Many thanks. Safe flights.
cmvidini, this thread is titled "Gulf Air Developments"... though Gulf Air has lots of Omani pilots wtih lots having left for Oman Air...it is still a Gulf Air thread...

So now the acting HR manager (M.T.) has resigned also. Good riddance to her-she was 1 of Al Banna's gang.
