Word is min req for FO is now 5000 hours! Also the "apply 500 hours short" has also been removed from the career website...

Is the belt starting to tighten?

Also latest Flight International quotes Emirates alright for pilots for the rest of this year.

But EK plan long term so no harm in being in the system if you're prepared to wait.

How Many Pilots are there at EK ?

Hello,

I am curious to find out the actual/ approximate number of pilots at Emirates according to their published seniority list.

Also what is the average expected intake of pilots per month till the end of the year.

Thank You.

confirm finals,

yes we all know that the req:500 short has been removed 2 weeks ago.

but min req 5000hrs where did you hear that from??

Does anybody know of the min req has gone up above 4000hrs in the past?

As long as EK has this steady supply of jobless americans pilots in the pool i dam sure they will be happy as a fish!!!

The '500 short' went a few weeks ago.

Still 4000hrs min, can't comment on the past.

2126 on 'the list'.

247 pilots hired this year till 19th of July.

Thanks "Visual Procedures".

The Americans are proving to be the best big target group at the moment.

Laid-Off pilots from Spirit, Skybus and Frontier are a prime target for Etihad's upcoming road shows in the States.

Unlike furloughed Pilots from US Majors, these guys will have more loyalty, and likely to be in the Middle East for the reasonable amount of time Airlines expect them to stay.

Last but not least, the US dollar is fixed which means less impact on take home pay or savings.
