Bahrain Airport 2nd Best to an unknown First
Bahrain Airport didn't make it into the World's Top 10, however it did make it into the regional top 3. Well done!
But Bahrain's local english paper never mentioned who came in first???
Poor journalism? or was coming second to an Israeli airport too much to swallow?

In my opinion Bahrain's Airport can't compete any regional one's except - maybe, I am still in doubt- Salalah Airport.
I just wanna know, who did the comparisons, was he blind or deaf, or maybe both together.
Life is full of suprizes, and corruption has no limits nowadays.

I agree with the award.
Bahrain International Airport is small, simple and practical.
Transit and customs/immigrations procedures and design makes for a pleasant and efficient airport experience.
The most distance one has to walk from the furthest aerobridge to the arrivals door is less than a hundred metres. A small and well stocked dutyfree shop awaits the arrivals and a comprehensive one for those departing.
These guys know how to maximise space usage without the cramped feeling.
An example of 'bigger isn't always better' as is the way of the richer neighbours.

Its a nice airport and it beats walking miles and miles when transiting or arriving (DXB).
I'm happy as I can leave the aircraft and be home in around 30 mins - most airports you are still trying to get to the immigration in that time.

I agree with Left to First Class,
Great airport, usually through immigration pretty quickly and get to baggage reclaim pretty much as the cases are arriving on the belt. Home in less than 30mins.
Shame about the local taxi drivers, still that is not the airport operators fault.

It's not the size that’s make airports good and practical, what about over then 60 years of experience?
We need a lot of developments, but even so, it's Bahrain Airport in the end of the day!

Pax perspective
Besides the great F class product for the price I have ranted on about with GF, BAH was the very close second reason I chose GF - which business man/lady with multiple flights intra Gulf would use DXB??????
That place is an overrated zoo. Looks nice thats it! Maybe new terminal will be its saving grace? Enshallah I hear the locals say
I think in the end with its new fleet & human airport GF will win over many business people needing to fly in the region.
In my opinion BEY should have also rated-its the next efficient user friendly airport in the region.
Oddy
