the popular question. I waited 2.5 years and still dont have dates. Due to financials in 2018 and max issue last year. But direct entry pilots are joining every month, ques they have priority cause they dont require longer training like cadets

thanks for the update.
Any idea if FD allows its crew members to purchase duty free goods (read alcohol and cigarettes) and bring back to Dubai. As I understand, EK stopped its crew from doing the same time back.

I have two colleagues who were on the Flydubai hold file mid last year who were told that recruitment wouldn't commence again until the Max was back in the air.
Assume thats now changed?

For my FO interview coming up my home base is on EK network but I have to front up half the cost to get to the interview as direct flight is too expensive for them. Original email they assured they will front up the cost for me to get to interview. Any ideas or options I can go from here?

I am about to complete my Easa frozen ATPL and on the CAE website there is a cadet program scheme with Fly Dubai that doesn’t provide a lot of information. I am curious about two things in particular:
- what is the total cost?
- is it true that to convert EASA into GCAA license applicants with less than 1500 hours have to do all the 14 atpl theory exams all over? If yes, are they required to do so before even applying? This would be a deal breaker for me as the last age you can apply is 29 and I’m turning 30 in fall this year therefore I wouldn’t have enough time for it.
Any help on these two matters will be highly appreciated.
