Blue,
Sorry to hear about your experience. Maybe it is for the best. What about the A310 sim was difficult? Just lack of time in A310 or maneuvers they put you through?
Also, does anyone know when interviewing for FlyDubai (737-800 operator) will begin? That may be another option.

guys,
I heard that EK last batch of interview will be this month and thats it for this year 2008.
No more interviews as they have filled up all the seats until first half of 2009.
does anyone knows the truth in this?

Capt. AMT,
Late June? What about late May? Still waiting... Out of 7 who made it through the last day one was offered a job and assigned the class in September almost immediately. Three were offered a job and placed in the pool over the course of 2 months past the interview. One was rejected after two months. Two to go... Ten weeks and two days as by this morning. Those accepted were told to expect their classes in the first quarter of the next year. All but the ultimately rejected guy's refernces were checked the next day after the interview.
It seems, they hold everybody and from time to time select the best and discard the worst candidates at the moment, who have been sitting in the waiting pool for too long. So, to my mind, the more you wait, the less chances you have. Wish, I'm wrong, as I'm one of these late guys...
The interview experience was just wonderful. I honestly wanted to be a part of this company. Still want... But this impression is fading...
Good luck!

Looks like they are now contacting the people that interviewed in early July. They've been given "thumbs down" to quite a few guys that even had their references checked. One interesting thing is that most of them were married with kids...
