Ban on cars older than 5 years?

I am probably going deaf, age and all that.................

Thought I heard a bit on the news this morning saying that the Gov have decided to bring in a ban or re-registering "light vehicles" over 20yrs and cars over 5yrs.

Am I hearing thing or has the bottom just dropped out of the 2nd hand car market?

Its re-registering everything older than 20 and IMPORTING anything older than 5.Pfew ... finally. All these '85 Corollas doing 45kph on the fifth lane of Emirates road will be recycled to Coke cans. Can't wait.
