Emirates vs. Qatar etc. in terms of requirements

Pardon my ignorance, but could anyone tell me why Emirates requirements are so much higher than that of Qatar, Etihad and Gulfair?

If a candidate has a sibling working for Emirates, would that better the chances of getting into Emirates? Do they look at it?

Thanks!

Not only the requirements are higher in Emirates: the working condtion, the salary, quality of live,...as well!(without forgetting the place to live)

This might be a part of the answer!
No doubt!

Wise advice:
Forget about Qatar airways for a long term career excpecially if you have family and young kids here in Doha...(excpecially if you are coming from europe, stay there and keep you benefit: pension, cheap and good school...)
Otherwise you may have to spend you retirement time begging on the street of your home country!(No pension, no Bonus, high infaltion 15% now..,huge devaluation of the currency, just a small end of service benifit here).
Try EK instead.
You don't have to believe me of course, ..but i would recommand....
Cheers.

it is true that in Emirates when you are retiring, they pay his full salary and you are retiring with the ten years in company?

Hi all,

Could anybody tell me what is the average salary in the pocket at EK and in QR for a A330 captain. Just in the pocket with no benefits. If somebody prefers to say this privately can send me a privat message.
I am destroyed right now flying for a low cost in Europe and considering sand pit!

safe flights everybody
