US pilots flying for EK, Tax question

I am wondering if anyone from the states can give me some more info about paying taxes back home for income made in excess of the $87000. Does anyone use rental properties to try and shelter it? Pseudo companies etc...? Also do you file your own W2? Does Emirates report your income to your home country? I imagine there must be some creative ways to shelter your doe. Please elaborate.....PM me if you are uncomfortable posting details. Thanks

Hire a competant US tax accountant, keep your returns simple and pay all your taxes.

I doubt there are many things worse than a tax audit when you are working overseas.
