Job switching in UAE

Hi guys! Just a quick question to all the guys flying in the UAE. I am interested in packing up and making the big move to the UAE, but seeing as the company I intend to work for is more of a 'stepping-stone' than a 'destination' company, I just want to find out how difficult it is in changing from one company to the other. As I understand, your VISA is very closely connected to your employment, does that have an influence on changing jobs? What is usually the standard notice period that the companies require? How long does it usually take to sort out the VISA situation?

Any other advise on moving to the UAE will be highly appreciated!
