Emirates time to command

Dear Emirates pilots. Would anybody give a rough guess at time to command for a new joiner (With 1000hrs + jet cmmd)? I believe there are about 600 pilots now on the list. Also, are there any rumours of a big order for aircraft shortly?

ahm, this is like asking how long is a piece of string. Command time is currently around 3.5 years. To reach the target of 100 aircraft in 9 years they need to increase the fleet by 7 aircraft per year. I don`t think command time will go much above four years for the next year or two but after that who knows. There is no guarantees in this business!

Yesteryears were good to join Emirates.........if you are in the left seat ia a reasonable Airline......STAY THERE. It may be 7 years before you see the tiller again

Joey - you say 7 years. The post before yours says 4 years. Why are you so sure of 7. If the company infact will expand 600% in 10 years, it would only be natural for command to come quicker.
