All nastyness aside (or perhaps just to rest for a moment?) does anyone have any information about what the current allocation of Emirates Family Accommodation is like (size, location, layout etc.) and how long new recruits have to wait for their villa?

I can answer the villa part. If you are married and with children you get a villa right away. Others get appartments.
