Post Royal Nepal

Looking for some information on Royal Nepal Airlines, in particular, their DHC-6 operations. Do they recruit foreigners and what sort of hours are they looking for?

Thumbs down

Hi there !

Royal Nepal has in total 7 Twin Otters and 2 B-757 of it own and has wet leased 2 other jets from China South west and Lauda air.

Once upon a time it used to recruit Foreign Pilots ( in it's glory days ) and had 3-4 PC-6, 12 Twin Otters, 2-3 HS-748 and a few Jets. But Since the last Ten years Royal Nepal has been going down to drain, it is in such a pathetic state that it may close today or tommorrow.

I do not wish to dissapoint you but RA has been so mismanaged that it does not even reply to those who apply or send their resume. More over, it doesn't even have a proper Web site of its own.

May be in the future, if Royal Nepal ( like Srilankan Air, Biman etc. ) is bought by some foreign carrier, I am sure it will require a large number of pilots. but At the moment, I do not think I can give you any positive answer regarding ROyal Nepal.

But If you wish I could provide you with the addresses of other Private Airlines in Nepal Where they have been recruiting Foreign Pilots, the pay is much better,I think the company has to sponser you or something and they prefer some one with type rating. If you need their addresses pls. let me know.

Best regards,

Himalaya
