Bahrain Grand Prix flypast...well done Gulf Air!
Yet another fantastic effort by the Gulf Air crew for the flypast at the GP yesterday
Whilst only one aircraft this year, the livery and up close and personal look at the beasty certainly made for great entertainment.
Great stuff!

Bit ropey after a weekend of fun in the sun, can't wait to get back to work this GP thing is quite tiring!

Some more happy snaps...

Nice photographs there Fox3snapshot....
What sort of lens are you using for those shots !
So do you expect to see an Etihad doing that at Abu Dhabi 2009?
Take care

Gotta say, that as much as I like the standard GF livery - this F1 promo scheme really does look the part.
So foxy.....looking forward to hear what you have to say about GF now after your trip home????
woodja - you GOTTA get to AUH for '09!!

Of course the Etihad hunter will do the same thing. He has not had an original idea since the he came to the middle east. Yes you will see the EY aircraft do the fly over. RH and PM will be the operators they will of course be their conservative selves and fly well above mins. Flybye at 30 000 feet waving to the crowd.

Dixon...
It seems the only servicable aircraft for the weekend conducted the flypast!
One thing I will give Guf Air credit for is consistency, they have consistently managed to completely balls up the following day of travel from the Grand Prix! Not bad for the sponsors of the premier event.
3rd year in a row now where my flight has had a significant delay, or cancellation. Yesterday was no different and having specifically asked at check in if there was any problems the answer was no everything is on time. To my dismay at boarding time the flight to Abu Dhabi just disappeared off the screen with a subsequent announcement that it was canceled! This was in addition to the chaos involving the Dubai flights which had been delayed significantly affecting quite a few of the F1 teams who were connecting from Dubai.
Shame really, it had been a sensational weekend up until that point.
