National Commercial Bank, I believe. Mutt could help out here.

The 767 is based in JED.

I think that there are at least 4 of them operated by various companies.

One company was advertising in Flight International 13-19 Mar page 64. You should also be able to find this on the www.totaljobs.com website.

I believe that this one is for MidEast Jets / National Commercial Banks, although the aircraft is based in Jeddah, it spends very little time there.

Five nights ago was flying into JFK and heard a N767KS getting his oceanic clearence to Jeddah, might this be one of the corporate 767's? Whats the story on the BBJ operators in the area.

Are you sure about the Saudi Ambassador, I would have thought that he would fly on the A340 which he personally owns!

Mad-dog11,

Thanks for the info.

Re the 777/BBJ, this is the first time that i have heard the word "exchanged" used, i was expecting all 4 of them to show up. The 777 is supposed to be in a mod shop (Hamburg??), as for the BBJ's at least one N737GG was delivered on the 18/03/99. I will check out the others and get back to you.

While i was searching http://www.bird.ch/bharms/boeing/b737nf_0.htm I noticed that there are 3 BBJ's coming to Saudi Oger, it mightnt be a bad time for a certain 727 crew to submit their resumes to them.

Mad-Dog11,

777 and 2 BBJ's are in US Mod shops, last one expected out by Sept. There only appears to be 2 BBJ's and not 3 as i stated.

There are rumours about the 777, but they arent about it going back to Boeing.

Thanks for the info Mutt,

So what news have you heard about the 777? Seems to have been in the mod shop for some time now! Looking forward to those BBJ's! Hopefully they'll perform a hell of a lot better than those Global Expresses of theirs!

Cool

Hey Mad Dog and Mutt,

Have a question on this topic you may be able to answer. I met a Saudi Guy while back in NZ who said he was the VP of a sizeable jet charter outfit in Jeddah - they apparently had B 767's and bizjets etc. Do some work for the royal family etc. His name was "Mohammed El-Hinou". Anyone know him or who he works with?

Alapt,

If you are talking about MEJ, their Globals only arrived a month of so ago, i therefore doubt that you will find anyone to tell you about "actual" flying hours, conditions etc.

Warlock, that "sizeable" fleet consists of 777/767/757/ 2x BBJ's/ 3x Global Express.

You are probably right. They are have new talks for a BBJ instead of the last Global. Don't know for sure why though!! What's the BBJ like?
Regards

I think that it would be a good idea to take a BBJ instead of the Global. The previous 2 globals have had several tech problems - usually with the engines - which can result in lost charters and $$$$$'s!!!
