What I have heard is that GF will probably become Bahrain Airways! End of July is apparently the crunch date, when Qatar & Oman once again have to decide if they want to be part of GF!

Who comes up with these rumours I don't know, (well perhaps I do) but I do know that nothing like that will ever happen.

Question

I've just spent the last 4 months in Bahrain and have heard nothing about a potential 'Bahrain Air'. The state press tend to blow their own trumpet and if anything was going to happen it would have been mentioned already. Looking at the size of the country and its economy, it seems unlikely that they would venture into something so ambitious.

However, I might be wrong as I recently spotted a 747 parked up in a corner of the airport with what seemed like the the Amiri flight colours, so they might be looking into it if they have the amount of cash to invest into such a venture.

Where did you get your info?

You should know who starts the rumours - the boring twits who don't know how to have a bit of fun.

The rest of us couldn't give a toss what is going on as long as we get paid.

Bahrain Airways - yeah - 5000 Bahrainis unemployed - yeah - sure the Bahrain government will take that risk.

Mind you the way they're going at the moment - Qatar might think it's quite funny!

Any more good rumours I don't know about!
