EK Accomodation Problems
with regards the housing problems, what could a joining F/O expect to be paid as a housing allowance, should he or she wish to rent/buy?

Do a search on the local news paper gulf news rental section
Once you rent you have many extra payments such as DEWA (Electricity and water along with the Dubai Municipality Tax for just being a resident...
Todays Gulf news paper some apartments to lease from Better homes
2 BR Burj Dubai Downtown AED 170,000
2 BR Dubai Marina AED 160,000
Studio green Community AED 85,000
3 BR Greens AED 230,000
Villas
Arabian Ranches 5 BR AED 300,000 ( similar to size of Silicon Villas)
Green Community 5 BR AED 270,000
Mirdif AED 300,000
Think you get the drift by now...... EK Allowance does not come close to what the market is paying
First Officers AED 10,565 per month. ( AED 126,780 Year)
Captain AED 11,865 per Month ( AED 142,380 Year )
