Question Contract pilot pay?

How much (or little) should a contract first officer expect to make ($US)in the middle east and how much should a captain expect?

The aircraft is a medium weight corporate jet!

Thanks folks!!

Will

Expect $5000 - $6500 for F/O & $7500 - $9500 for Captain. Tickets paid, accom provided. Any better & you're doing well.

I have made anywhere between 3200 USD on a crappy contract up to 15000 USD a month on a good one. This as F/O on VIP heavies or flying for a third world airline.

I suggest that you do a lot of research into your future Middle Eastern employer and their "desire" to pay you. I know a number of people who have signed great contracts but went months without getting paid.

Good Luck.

Mutt.

The wages posted may be "history" as just communicated with Contractair out of UK on a DC-9 Captains contract in Egypt. Applicant must be Line Instructor qualified. As per Contractair "Employer is aware of Pilot "glut" and is offering USD 4500.00 per month with hotel accomodation and no per diem. This also includes ferrying the DC-9-30 from LAX to Cairo. Probably flying support for the Taliban as it is a cargo operation. Also the contract is for 3 months.

ain't it grand.

I have recently been in Saudi flying for a private heavy. Capt.= $7,500, F/O, F/E $5,000.. .(to fly 20/25 Hrs month, oops, that's a big month). .As stated by some else, they changed the contract one month after starting!! Needless to say, I am now looking for other work!! . .Most people out there are getting $4500/7500/Mth (For 737/727 VIP) Per Diems are now running about $100 per day, not bad considering that you can live on $10 per day!! . .(If you don't mind eating where the locals go!!). .The hotel meals will cost you about between 50 and 75 per day!!. .Regards
