Wink Next hiring at Qatar?

What's going on with them.
When are the A330s coming in? Expansion or just a replacement for their A300s.
They were going to convert some of their A300s into freighters, any news on that as well?
Thanks.

Hi Ready, sorry can't help. I'am also standing-by for any change in the current situation, which looks quite too still for all these new aircraft coming into Qatar fleet.
Cheers

Hello B.B.
In the last couple of days I managed to make contacts with people at Qatar Airways itself and could be able to answer my own questions soon.
If I do, I'll post the results. Stay tuned.

Ready -
that would be very cool. I find it almost impossible to get any gouge , so that might be very helpful.
If you could figure out what requirements they are putting out ....

cheers

Talking

Ready, that would be very kind.
Despite the old stories about it, I reckon it's worth giving it a try.
I hope that if they start hiring again, the contract they were offering isn't gonna cahage.
I hung around... <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

Sorry for taking so long!
I received an email from the A300 fleet manager about one week ago and it seems that they could get another A300 by October 2002. To be confirmed. No hiring prior to that, and openings will be FO's positions only. First Officers getting the upgrade. No direct entry captain positions for a little while.
I also heard in end of december that they were going to take on a couple of guys end of February but my inside connection has not replied yet on that. Perhaps what the FM wrote me is really the latest as far hiring goes. If I hear othewise, I'll post.
Cheers!!!

Hi guys,
Not to mislead anybody, I meant no hiring before October 2002, on the A300 that is.
Other types, complete different story I suppose.
Bye.
