Gulf Nations Continue Aviation Acquisitions

Two interesting acquisitions noted in the local press today:

1) DNATA has purchased Jet Aviation Handling from its Swiss owners and has rebranded the operation DNATA Switzerland effective today. I am sure we will see many other DNATA brands popping up globally, a la DP World!!!

2) Saudi Arabia is to invest 20% ownership in Austrian Airlines.

The march towards Global Domination continues!!

I understand that its an individual that is investing and not the country

Then there is this.....

DUBAI, UAE — DAE Services, the aviation technology division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has acquired flugwerkzeuge aviation software (f:wz), a privately-held Austrian software firm that develops and distributes cost-optimising flight planning solutions for airlines for US$ 25 million.
