Nothing new for DXB...it was CATIIIA 15 years ago, before all the construction started.

Cat3 is good, however, until spacing requirements are updated, traffic isn't going to move any faster at DXB. They still require 10 miles between arrivals in low vis, 15 if there is a departure.

411a has claimed DXB was Cat IIIA 15 years ago before on this site. I was operating out of DXB then, and I certainly don't recall that being the case.

Is there anyone out there with a better memory than mine who can prove one of us to be right?

****

I stand corrected - old timer's disease must be getting to me, as I have no recollection of it.
