Any ideas why UAE fighters would start shadowing civilian jets inbound Dubai from Afghanistan? (KAM, Arianna)

Maybe a VIP passenger onboard, recently relieved from frontline duties, and fancies a long weekend in DXB prior to returning to Blighty?????? I heard Ariana is his carrier of choice. Plenty of standing room in the back for the 350 BBC and ITN journos who have been tracking him!!!

On a serious note, have no idea why military escorts would be happening. First I have heard of it.

It's a gimmick.

You all know as well as I do, that the Sheiks have bought Bin and boys off for the moment. I stress for the moment. Dubai especially, represents everything that the fanatics detest.

So all of us that visit or work in the UAE, are supporting terrorism in some way.
