Joining today as a F/O here, you will be stuck on the right hand seat for at least ..6..7 years...
Take the upgrade build up some experience(2&3 years), and they will be still plenty of companies(other than Qatar airways..) willing to take you here in the middle east as a CPT 320...
But by the way if money is a issue for you..think twice..we have the highest inflation in the gulf here in Qatar (14%!!) and i donīt think it will improve in the short term, compared to our "generous" annual increase of ...3%
on the basic only, qatar airways is offering to his crew...
On top of that here: NO bonus,NO pension,NO currency exchange protection......Really think wice...

First of all apologies if I implied lots of commands quickly in QR it does sound as if a long wait will be had by some but I do know of one (expat) in less than 3 years . At least in EK commands will happen in 3 years and maybe less for the fast track guys. As for Flircat take the 320 command then after 500 hours go for the salary overseas!
