Ek Boss Kicked Off Flight?

Something caught my eye...was the boss off Emirates told to get off a Sri Lankan flight today?

From the "London Times"
in short, a large group of people, including the Sri Lankan president was not permitted to board a flight from London to Sri Lanka.
They demanded that 35 (?) pax were to kicked off the plane to let the president's group fly.
As it was a "private" request and not an official request by the Sri Lankan government, the group was denied boarding and the rightfully booked pax travelled.
in retaliation, the Sri Lankan government cancelled the work permit for the carrieres chief, Peter Hill.

Peter Hill will now function as CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines but will be based in Dubai

What is the probability of the EK/UL deal, which comes up for renewal in March 2008, being renewed?

I must congratulate the management of Emirates for publicly (and rightly) showing their extreme displeasure in this whole episode, and the enforced repatriation of Hill.

When asked if it was thought the recent cancellation of Hill's work permit would affect the ongoing negotiations with Colombo for the renewal of the UL management contract (currently held by EK), and Emirates spokesman simply and bluntly said "yes, it will".
