Bahrain-Muscat Sectors

Since the divorce of Oman to Gulf Air The two goverment have been in collision course over sectors between the two cities, you hear that from Jan 2008 Gulfair will have only one sector a day to muscat.i just wonder why?is the Muscat -London sector got to do with it? as Oman air operates now to Gatwick only, somebody stole london sector.

I think this has something to do with Bilaterals. While Bahrain has an open-sky policy, Oman does not. So the agreements probably stipulate one flight per day. I have heard though that Oman will also join the open-sky community soon and I suppose then GF would be able to fly as many times as they want.
