Yes done deal, I'll bet my rent to buy house on it!!
May even get 747-400 to be getting on with first. After trashing the A346 seems Airbus are not that popular!!!

Whilst on theboing subject.....
How many 777 does EY have, I thought they only bought 5 but yesterdays gulf news said they have 7?
I bet boeing would give them one hell of a discount on ordering a fleet of 747-800's cause they aint selling like hot cakes are they.............

It seems it's true, west 30W

2020 Hmmm...! Is this when the housing will be ready? Now that's a plan!
By then the Jumbo has cleared 50 years of age....747-800 will not be new at 2020, and A350 XB will treated like an A320, looking for a cargo conversion.

No worries, EY can hardly succeed in having 30 planes in flight line at the same time.
Wondering if the A340-600 incident in Toulouse wasn't on purpose....
They couldn't have crewed this aircraft anyway....
Pilots forced to take their mandatory monthly OFF days on lay-overs..... wonder how they do that... flying 11 to 12 days in a row, what a nice life, can't wait....
Maybe that's the reason for keeping a few "more than 12 hours" lay-overs.....
Life is getting better every day.
Jet interviews coming up as well as Korean.... Yeepeekaieheheheheh

We will need an A380 or 747-8 at some stage for routes to London and Sydney – the order could go either way,” said Hogan
My money is on the a380... Airbus are making offers that the middle east at the moment can't seem to refuse!
And no, i'm not starting a boeing vs airbus debate

Ah, it's all smoke and mirrors to take away the pain of a sick offer to buy back leave at an insulting price, late roster publication and late leave for 2008.
Be nice if they dealt with the basics first then went plane shopping.
Suppose there won't be a bonus for all the hard yards put in this year.....

"New airline", what a lame excuse....for not performing!
Cash rich but poor on skills with the reputation to match.
can't even issue a payslip without trying to screw you.

EK has pretty much bought out the A350 until 2015 or so....No 787s nor 777s available for a very long time. A340 is not cost effective...so...what's left...747-800
Maybe EY will get the 747 as they may have no other choice.
