Trade unions in the UAE
It appears that the UAE will hold talks with the GCC in creating the formation of trade unions early next year.
UAE and Dubai have received worldwide attention for the wrong reasons recently for the poor treatment of it's labourers.
Currently strikes and trade unions are illegal here, however that hasn't prevented the labourers from speaking out about the lack of pay (not on time or not at all) and safety problems.
Looks like times are changing here!

Great to have an optimist in the crowd. Sure the laborers went on strike and voiced their anger. Are they still in Dubai? True labor representation in this part of the world will occur long after Hell freezes over.
My opinion.

Hush - Breath not the words "Trade Union"!
You will get hairy palms and go blind. Those who are heard will get burnt at the stake or bound and dunked in the creek.
Such are the ways of the Middle East...

Of course they will form unions , more goverment jobs (70 % payrise) , imagine the fees they will charge to be in a union. Its just another way to garnish your salaries.
When you go for a complaint youll need it typed in Arabic, stamped by a JP and when you get heard they will tell you you signed a contract that says we can change the conditions as we please, hey you signed it. thatl be another 1000dhs thanks..............
