flying time restrictions for QR flight and cabin crew
Can anyone tell me if in the middle east there are working time restrictions for flight and cabin crew?just want to know as in Europe flight and cabin crew are restricted to the 900hr rule. As we all know QR staff are working their butts off (as usual) and having their days off down route, is this legal?
I do have contacts with the CAA here in London and I shall ask them too. Seen some colleagues yesterday in LHR and they were exhausted, surely this is a breach of safety. comments please.

Hi strenght.
First donīt compare the situation in Europe and here, Because here there is no difference between the Local CAA and qatar airways..for me itīs just one entity
Yes there is limitation, and working time restriction, minimum rest...
But here those thing are use on a Daily basis to make your roster as much tiring(and so unsafe) as they can and to push you to the limit of the legality....
I mean here itīs a standard to be roster with minimum rest between your flight, as safety is not an issue but just maximun exploitation of crew.
You known when you fly your airbus every take off or almost you are using flex T/off in order to safe the engine, and not to push them to the limit...
Here the crew are almost on a TOGA Detent No FLEX...Not very clever and not very safe........But who cares, certainly not our brainless roster team.
Cheers

Buahahaha! Oh god this almost killed me when I mis-read the title the first time. I thought it was all about QR's "NIGHT TIME" restrictions, how that monkey/donkey Snack-Bar has the crews LOCKED BEHIND DOORS at night like they are some sort of slave (well, THAT's not far off now, IS it?!).
I laughed so loud my dog and kids game me a "WTF"?!? look! hahaha!
Oh geeze. This beats TV some days!

Yes, there is a flight time and rest scheme and every effort is made to missuse it. This can happen since the management (chair-holders) does not exercise its control funktion. Forget about the QCAA they are as usefull as petrol to fight a fire.
On the other hand - it always takes two to tango
