QR or Oman
Hi every body, I'm an expat FO with 4000 TT, 3700 in jet transport, flying in India, and now maybe I would have the opportunity of joining QR and Oman. Wish one of these two do you think is better for a long term commitment and as a career opportunity (upgrade), quality of living, etc.

There is not even a case of "Best of the worst" when it comes to these two choices.Try to avoid both if you can otherwise take the Sh*t in QR for better money and better equipments.you can say QR is "Better of the worst"
Good luck...for sure you will need it.

I would prefer living in Muscat rather than Doha. Especially if you're married with kids. Oman is a very nice country and of all the Gulf states my favourite.
Career-wise probably better opportunities at Qatar. But I'm not sure what your ambitions are. Oman Air will be expanding their long haul operation. However I think they are more interested in serving the needs of Oman and not compete with Emirates for transit traffic like Qatar is trying.

Yes indeed , life wise Muscat (and Oman) is a very nice place and country, and people are very nice and friendly (not like Doha..:wich is probably the worst place in the gulf to live.).
AnD The big difference as well is that local people in Oman are working everywhere, shops, hotels,restaurant...and so they respect you and they donīt treat you like sh....
Career or money wise..not sure wich one is better...But donīt forget one thing:Money is not everything...
