6 Weeks next week since screening for FTSO.

How long do you wait before trying to contact HR? I am out of work in a week and getting desperate.

Thanks

Global01, where did you hear about the conversion cancellations?
Wasn't the original plan to convert them then lease most of them to other carriers in 2016?

I heard it 2 weeks ago from a Qatari Friend who's currently on the A330 NTSO.. He told me that they had a meeting with the CEO, but not sure wether he was at the meeting or not !!!

He said that they'll keep all the 30 A330s until replaced by the A350 ... So NO CARGO CONVERSION ...

Evening fellas,

Just filling in the application now and got to the end bit and have a quick question regarding the references required on the application form. Basically, the only people who for me would fit the criteria they ask for this (i.e knows you professionally, in checking/training etc etc) for me would be the training managers at my current outfit. However, they are, in general, a complete bunch of pricks and if they got wind I was planning on leaving and for whatever reason I ended up staying they would no doubt make my life hell. In fact, I wouldn't even put it past them not to sabotage the application altogether (as they have done to other guys historically). Has anybody else been in this situation? If so, what did you do? Do they only contact these people in the event you actually accept an eventual offer? Any suggestions at all? Bit confused right now to be honest!!
Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks.

I believe they wait until you have successfully completed the assessment before contacting any references. ( I had a pass letter 7 weeks ago and I dont think they have contacted any of mine--course that could be a bad sign!)
In general I would always try to contact my references to give them a heads up and ask their permission to use them as a reference.
In the case of managers and chief pilot one would hope that these people would merely be professionals and therefore should not really require any advance notice.....you may be better off to list them and just wait?

Unhappy

Received this yesterday! Can anybody that works for Qatar verify this? Thanks!

Dear Sir,

I am sorry to inform you that Qatar has stop accepting application for all jobs at this point. They are overloaded with pilots at this time. We work with other clients that you might be interested in.

Paramount continually receives new job opportunities and therefore we invite you to register/update your application on our website at Flight Crew Leasing and Recruiting Services - Paramount Aviation Resources Group, Inc.. This will ensure that you are advised of any changes in the requirements as well as new vacancies that may become available in the future.

Please let me know if I can help with any other client.

Best Regards,

Victoria
