Devil To GF A330

Did not get a chance to look at the website... was it actually for the catering or for those over paid poofy chefs.
Will GF be keeping them??? If not, they can always start a career down the back as a trolly dolly.

A purser showed me once what they do with the bad reports/complaints that passengers write about the service in general: straight to the trash bin

They only forward the good ones to the company.
So, all these awards are nonsense, silly propaganda, bought-up stuff

Snoop

whatever the excuses people make, this is an award voted for by millions of flyers from around the world and GF still won best catering in F/C and 4th (?) in J/C.

Considering how bad GF is in most areas, this is something GF should be proud of.

So proud, they should throw the Head of In flight services in jail or something similar as a reward, and allow all the real crooks to run away to EY or let them join the board

First-class catering honour for Gulf Air

MANAMA: Gulf Air has won a top global airline award for its first-class catering for the fifth year in succession.

The airline continued its winning streak at the highly-regarded SkyTrax World Airline Awards 2007, walking off with first place in the category for Onboard Catering Excellence in First Class.

"The Gulf Air 'sky Chefs' have clearly been serving up some mouth-watering meals in their First Class cabin, as the airline is a repeat winner of the prestigious Best First Class catering award," a citation from the awards' judges said.

The airline was also the only carrier from the Middle East to be ranked in the top five in the Business Class catering category of the awards, which are voted for by the travelling public.

"Our sky chefs are surely a celebration of food in-flight and winning this award for the fifth time in a row bears testimony to our on board catering excellence," said Gulf Air acting president and chief executive Bjšrn NŠf.

"We thank and salute the travelling public for their confidence in our product and service and we will strive to continue this legacy of improvement to service standards whilst upholding our guest's support of Gulf Air's inflight products."

The survey measures over 35 different aspects of passenger satisfaction regarding airline product and service standards, evaluating the 'typical' travel experience, and the comprehensive nature of the awards have made them something of an industry benchmark.

"We are very proud of our achievement and we thank our dedicated chefs and all our in-flight crews for their hard work and personal commitment in helping us win again this year," said Gulf Air executive vice-president of marketing and sales Lee Shave.

"I can assure our customers that we will continue to do all we can to further increase customer satisfaction across all aspects of our on board service.

"We challenge ourselves to do everything we can to maintain and enhance the goodwill we have to earn everyday from our passengers."

International

Some things to keep in mind

Next year there will alos be an award for "airline with most expats in the Gulf" and my guess is someone will win.

Catering is not a core airline competence, transporting people is, GF fails hands down.

Last, MK maybe in jail, but the award has nothing to do with it albeit, how it was achieved and how much paid to the Skytrax team to create a category that GF can compete in is.

On the other hand, its time you travel on some other airlines to see their first and business class products, and there, GF is by no means anywhere near.

Best catering......my @rse run to economy and see what the majority of passengers are eating! Surprised?
