I started my first airline job with them, in 96 the company was going through a rough time, they managed to pick up since then, now thy are expanding again. things seem to be on the right track, living in jordan is great, you'll have all 4 seasons through the year, nice city and lots to do when at base (Amman). working conditions are very hard due to a big shortage in pilots. you might end up doing over 90 hrs a month especially on A320 fleet. it takes about an hour from Amman to the Airport, don't know about the pay for expats but every one pays tax there.
Jordan in general is very cosmopolitan now, one thing i can be sure of is how safe it is for expats. 75% of the people speak english and rent is around 500 to 1000 USD/ month, you can even buy property if you want.
Royal Jordanian Flys 9 A320-A321's, 5 A310's, 3 E-195's and 4 A340's, they just ordered 6 B787's to replace the A430's.
most A320's are new.
hope this will give an idea of what to expect.
P.S: they havent had expat pilots there for over 20 years now, but looks like they are hireing again.

Hi Hunter, thanks a lot for your feedback, very complete, by the way do you know if the are taking Direct Entry Captains for the EMB, and if the conditions are the same as the A320?
