Emirates no longer McLaren sponsor?

I must be slow, but just noticed that the 'Fly Emirates" logo is no longer on the McLaren F1 car.
Anyone know why? Didn't pay them enough?

Cool

Maybe because they needed the money to fund the Flight Ops payrises. Err, no wait ......

I noticed the same thing at the British GP last weekend. Replaced by Vodafone logo. With the resurgence of the team and especially the exposure Lewis Hamilton is getting there must be a good reason for the missed opportunity. This is especially so as the other major sponsorship deals have not been performing that well recently. Emirates Team New Zealand failed to regain the America's Cup and Arsenal are not the force in the Premiership that they were a couple of seasons back (and will surely miss Thierry Henry in the coming year).

The F1 sponsorship was only for the second half of last year.

Personally, I think EK does pretty well with their sponsorships. If you want to see sponsoring a losing venture, watch the Spyker cars!

It seams that just about everyone in the UK know by now who they are. So their sponserships have been sucessful.
