Logbook Certification
All original logbooks (stamped and certified by either your regulatory authority or employer) and original licences (+ photocopies) must be brought to Dubai for inspection as part of the selection program. Failure to supply log books will jeopardize your continued participation in the program. You must be able to present original logbooks for all hours stated on your application. Hours without logbook evidence will be discounted. Electronic logbooks can be accepted, provided they are stamped and certified by your employer or a regulatory authority.
How do I get my employer to certify my logbook?? I do have a computer print out of daily hours flown by my training dept.. I did contact the FAA and they are clueless. I just want to make sure I ask the right thing before going to my chief pilot. I really dont think he would stamp and certify my logbook!!
thanks

A computer printout should be fine, as long at is accompanied by a letter by someone in authority on letterhead stating that the readout is true and accurate. This can be your CPO, your asst CPO or your head of training, or whatever. Someone with a title and letterhead. This all has to be submitted to the GCAA, and EK is just inspecting the logbooks so when they are submitted, all is in order. Hope this helps a little.

Eastern Euro,
in my case a stamp and signature of the flight operations post holder on the last entry of my logbook and a letter from flight ops stating the total number of hours flown with them was enough. If you are joining EK you should have a recrutment coordinator assigned to you to address all these questions via email.

Logbook Certification
Regarding having logbooks stamped and certified, I don't think I have seen a stamp at any airline I have worked.
I have the same problem as Eastern Euro but I also have flight instructed and worked for companies that have gone out of business. How can I get those hours certified. I have no problem getting a letter from my current airline but that will only show the hours flown with that airline.
In the US I haven't heard of anyone bringing in the logbooks to have them certified periodically, only at hiring.
Thanks for any clarification.
