Qatar SO/FO info

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me Qatari FOs;

1) How many hours do you do roughly in a month on the A320
2) Roster - ie number of days off/standby - monthly/annually
3) Salary per month
4) Benefits if any... medical/loss of licence/accomadation

Fresh.

AKAFresh:

1)....70...hours/month, with a lot of ground time(duty much more...120..h/month, but you got only paid for the flight time not the duty!).

2)...8 days off/month,(minimum 7 days off in any consecutive 4 weeks).

3)starting f/O on 320:....9000U$/month (including flight allowance,and house alowance).
In Euros...itīs going down every month as euros is going up an up v/S Riyal.

4)-Medical: yes,but cover only hospitalisation
-LOL: yes but useless, very cheap one, will probably never cover you if something happens to you, unless maybe you are smashed by one of those numerous stupid brainless drivers here, while crossing the road to go to work ...!!
-Accomodation: some of the pilots left immediatly Q.A. when they saw in what kind of rathole they were put in....
So if you want something nice, you will have to look by yourself..and pay the price of course!
Welcome to a 5 stars airline....

All these problems exist in EY, GF and EK too. But, you will not deny the fact that the Flt Ops management is trying as much as it can to help crew especially after the present GMFO took over. Things will definitely improve provided we have an efficient Rostering Manager. I wonder how Chris is still surviving in QR whereas AAB does not keep incompetent people even for a minute.

You can have the best GMFO you want, as long as AAB is there, nothing will change, AAB is the ONLY man who run the show!
